"Have you received Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord?" This is the most important question that you will ever be asked. Pastor Bill shares how he was in church all of his life, but it wasn't until he was twenty years old that someone asked him that question. Do you know that if you die tonight, you will be with God in heaven? If you don't you need to accept his gift of salvation and eternal security. You are invited to call Pastor Bill, or contact us (website link) any time to find peace of mind and heart!

Are you the light of the gospel? Does your life reflect the light of God? If you were gone tomorrow, would anyone notice? Would the lives of those around you notice a change in the spiritual influence from your life? If our church burned to the ground tomorrow, would our community notice a difference? Would they suffer in ministry to their needs? These are powerful questions that come from Jesus' sermon on salt and light in Matthew, chapter 5. Pastor Bill challenges us to look at the impact (or lack thereof) we make in our circle of influence. Tucker Swamp Baptist Church has the opportunity to make a difference next Saturday as we gather at 9 a.m. to prepare to move into our community at 10 a.m. and leave pamphlets on the doors of our neighbors. We are inviting them to a potentially life-changing service on Easter. Won't you be a part of this effort? Join us and walk around Windsor, Zuni, and Franklin at 10 a.m. or just simply pray for those who go. You can learn more about this effort at GPS2020.

We continue our series on our focus on God and His love for us. This week we learn about the urgency of love. As Pastor Bill shares the story in the Bible of the men who took their sick friend to see Jesus, he reminds us of the urgency for us as Christians to be just as concerned for our friends and neighbors. Our church is partnering with the Southern Baptist Convention to reach our community - 4000 homes - with the gospel message this Easter season. You can learn more about this effort at GPS 2010.

Pastor Bill shares a message on the importance of Staying Connected. Jesus is the true vine: the source of our strength and life. We are the branches that represent the holiness of the vine. We must stay connected or we will not produce fruit. Our "fruit" identifies us as part of the whole: a witness to the glory of God. What a powerful message for the Christian who struggles in the midst of a lost and dying world.

Greed. Webster says it's the excessive desire to acquire or possess more than one needs or deserves. As a Christian, we are a child of the most high God. We have been given His kingdom- here on earth and above. Do we deserve what He gives us? No! It is by grace, that we receive His blessings. So how do we avoid that human desire to want more than what God gives us? Pastor Bill reminds us that we need to guard against greed. Here are some of the sermon points:
- Guard against a sense of entitlement
- Guard against focusing on ourselves
- Guard against making plans apart from God
- Guard against complacency
- Guard against all kinds of greed

We have storms from time to time. It seems like this winter we've experienced more storms than usual. In life, we seem to face storms and it seems like more storms as we grow older. Our character will be measured by how we face and walk through life's storms. This week Pastor Bill encourages us to focus on God during those storms. Scripture passage this week is in Matthew, chapter 14 after Jesus feeds over 5000 people. His disciples row into the lake and a storm rises during the night. How did the disciples respond? How will you?

This Sunday, our denomination, the Southern Baptist Convention celebrates the sanctity of human life every year. As Pastor Bill Dawson says, it's sad that we need a special day to remind ourselves and our nation that human life is sacred. We should already know this. However, in today's culture, human life can be less valuable than a species of bird or crustacean. In this week's message, Pastor Bill shares scripture from Psalm 139. He reminds us that God is the creator of all life. Our value comes from who's we are, not our capabilities. As a creation of God's, we do not have the right to take life or to decide who lives and who dies. Listen or watch below as Pastor Bill helps us know what we believe as Christians.

Our Sermon time had a special emphasis. Missions is our passion. As we begin a new year, we are already making plans to provide opportunities for foreign missions involvement. In the past we have journeyed to Peru, Bolivia, Mexico, Africa and many other places. Why do we leave the comforts of our home to serve those in other countries and to take the gospel of Jesus Christ with us? Because of the Great Commission. In Matthew chapter 28, Jesus directs us to go to the ends of the world with the gospel. Here are some points about missions:
- There is a Divine calling for missions (Matthew 28:16)
- There is Divine power for missions (Matthew 28: 17,18; John 15:5; Acts 1:4)
- There is a Divine plan for missions (Matthew 28: 19)
- There is a Diving promise for missions (Matthew 28:20; Hebrews 13:5)
