There are three specific areas that are crucial to a dynamic church. They are:
The Mission The Vision The Ministry
What is a vision?
it is defined as being: "the specific plan by which the basic mission is accomplished."
Tucker Swamp's Vision
Reach Up
Reach In
Reach Out
Reach up through worship
The psalms teach us that worship is praise to our Father, God, and praise for our Father. Psalms 146 through 150 are songs that were sung in praise of all that has been given to us and all that God is. How does Tucker Swamp worship?
We worship in our Sunday Services. If you have never experienced our worship service, please join us! It will change your perspective on your relationship to God!
We are led in worship through our Music Ministry. Choirs of all ages are active and involved each week in our worship services.
We worship through prayer. Many of our members are prayer warriors for fellow members, our community, and our nation.
Reach in through discipleship and fellowship
"Be an example to the believers...give your attention to public reading, exhortation, and teaching." 1 Timothy 4: 12-13
There are many facets to our discipleship and fellowship ministries:
small group Bible studies
women and men's ministry groups
discipleship classes
athletics
Reach out through evangelism
Did you know that:
55% of all baptisms in the Southern Baptist Convention are youth and children between the ages of 6 and 18?
Once a child reaches the age of 18, he or she is 9 times less likely to make a profession of faith?
Ministry to adults consumes 67% of a church's leadership and 86% of a church's financial resources!
Our goal in 2009 is to bring our resources and ministry opportunities in line with the needs of our church; specifically those of our children and youth. We pray that God will lead us in the direction that He wants us to go. Only then, will our children and youth be drawn to Him as their Creator and Savior.
