Going to lunch after service

Each month, usually the third Sunday, we travel to lunch after the church service. We pick a different place each month. We have a lot of fun taking the church coach just enjoying each other's company. No reservations are needed. Just come with us after church! You can call the church office (757-242-6553) to find out where we are going this month!

Bible Study

Sunday morning Care Leader sharing a word

Sunday morning is such a special time for us. We have wonderful, well-learned men of God who share with us the Bible lesson each week. We share our concerns and praises together, celebrating what God is doing in our lives. This is where real relationships begin!

Other Opportunities

our walkers walking

Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays we get together and walk about a mile or so. That's 12 trips around the family life center. But we don't even realize when we've completed a mile. So much to talk about while we walk! We meet at 8 a.m. It's great exercise, and even better companionship. When we've completed "our rounds" we usually stay for awhile and write notes to the folks we haven't seen recently. Sometimes we stay on Wednesdays to help prepare dinner. You don't need to call ahead, just show up some time!

Then there are those special times during the year: Valentine's Day, Christmas holidays, Homecoming Day in May - those times when we get together and share in food, fun and fellowship. Our younger folks usually sponsor and prepare a Valentine Banquet each year. We meet at Christmas- sometimes in each other's homes. Homecoming Day is a special time when old friends travel back to church and we celebrate good times.

If you are looking for a church home with a strong ministry for the 'young at heart' you just found it! Come join us, we'll set another place at the table for you!
