Mogart's Beach

Bible-based Day Camp
because of our love for children

TSBC and Mogart's Beach Camp

Carrollton Baptist Church has led this mission for more than twenty years and invited TSBC about ten years ago to join them in this ministry. Our church provided teens as Bible teachers, recreation leaders, camp helpers and craft leaders almost every year since then.

Over the years our youth have "grown up" at 'the beach.' Each summer, our teens volunteer and prepare months in advance of the dates of the camp. They teach Bible stories and lead in Bible-based activities that help these un-churched children understand how much God loves them. What a spiritual challenge it has been for our youth to be role models and leaders for these kids.

We have seen our teens grow in their own understanding of God's plan for their lives as they have shared the plan of salvation with children, some of whom are hearing scripture for the first time. Assisting our teens are adults in our congregation who give up vacation time and work to be a part of camp week. The adults help in providing suggestions, transportation, encouragement, supplies, and hands-on help in the craft activities.

An Invitation

This year is no exception. July 21-25 is the week that our church will again be assisting at Mogart's Beach camp. Our youth are busy preparing activities and lesson plans. Our adults are helping organize the craft activities as others in our church pray for the children who will be at the camp.

You, too, can pray for these children. Most come from homes where the gospel is not respected or understood. These children don't realize that God has a plan and purpose for their lives. Pray that they will believe the message that is given. Pray that they will respond to the gospel message and the leaders who share it. Pray that their families will support the decisions that the children make this week. Pray that our teens will be bold.

And after this week?

And there is the impact on the youth that lead. No event happens in a vacuum. The experience the teens share this summer will somehow, someway, influence their futures. The same can be said for the children who attend the camp. Children, who will never be the same again. Children you can continue to pray for. Youth that we can continue to encourage to be leaders in other places, in other situations.

Remember...

The Word of God leaves no man untouched.
