Missions is Involvement

How do you love a God who gave you everything and not want to share His grace with others? How do you watch the unsaved die and go to hell without wanting to show them the way to the Savior? That's why we do missions: to serve, to evangelize and to help the less fortunate.

What Do We Do?

Many members of our congregation at Tucker Swamp have traveled all over the world. Children, youth, adults and seniors have a heart of the salvation of others. Evangelism, in the form of "doing" and "going" is what missions is all about. Our youth have served as far away as Niger, Africa. Others have served in disaster relief operations all across the nation. Families have traveled together to minister to the poor and less fortunate in Bland County, Smithfield, and in our own community of Zuni. A team returned recently from Greensburg, Kansas to help with reconstruction after the devestation tornadoes that hit on May 4th, 2007. This small town was 95% destroyed. Our church desired to help them rebuild. A mission team just returned from Peru. Read the daily reports here!

Will You Join Us?

There is a ministry for you here in our church. Whether you are looking to travel, or stay here in our community, you can serve now. We are always looking to include brothers and sisters in Christ in ministry. We encourage you to call the church office, 242-6553, or go online to our "opportunities" page and fill out the form. There are many talents you possess that God can use. You, too, can be a missionary! One Saturday, each month, we host a food distribution to our local community. We are always looking for volunteers to help pack the food bags, or just take registration information.

Where We are Going Next

This year is full of exciting opportunities. There are always construction projects, outreach ministries and other service opportunities at Bland to be involved in with us.
